Common Questions
Schengen Protocol 2026
How much bank balance is required for Europe?
Generally, you should show €100 per day of your trip plus flight costs. For a 10-day trip, a balance of €3,000 - €5,000 is considered safe evidence of financial means.
Can I travel to any Schengen country with one visa?
Yes! Once you enter the Schengen Area, you can travel freely between all member states (like France, Italy, Germany) without further border checks.
Is travel insurance mandatory for the Schengen visa?
Absolutely. It must cover at least €30,000 for medical emergencies and repatriation, and be valid for all Schengen member states.
What is the 90/180 day rule?
You can stay in the Schengen Area for a maximum of 90 days within any 180-day period. This applies to both visa holders and visa-exempt travelers.
What is the difference between Type C and Type D?
Type C is for tourism/business (short stay up to 90 days). Type D is a National Visa for work, study, or residency in a specific country for more than 90 days.
How long does it take to get the visa?
Standard processing is 15 days, but can take up to 45 days during peak seasons (Summer/Christmas). We recommend applying at least 2 months before travel.
